Welcome to Oliver & June!

We had quite a productive weekend around here. On Saturday morning we discovered a new farmer’s market. It was a bit of a hike to get there, but we were so glad we made the trip because we discovered some new goodies.
We came home with raw local blueberry honey (the bees pollinate nothing but blueberry bushes and you would be surprised how different it tastes from regular wildflower honey!), the most delicious organic fair-trade coffee, and we got to meet the creator of some amazing hot sauces.

We settled for Peter Piper’s Pickled Pepper Sauce and his Chipotle sauce, but he let us try some really fun combos (nectarine ginger anyone?) that I may have to go back for next week. Meanwhile, I will continue to put hot sauce on anything and everything that I can…

After the farmer’s market, we went to walk our favorite shelter pups.
Does he look like a mean and vicious pit bull to you? Yeah, me neither. I’m pretty sure Dallas is on his way to joining our little family soon. Shhh ;)

Later in the afternoon, we headed to the man’s work barbeque that lasted well into the evening. Here is what I wore:

Top: Anthropologie (on sale!) // Shorts: Neiman Marcus // Shoes: Sam Edelman // Necklace no longer available

On Sunday, poor little Oliver got shorn like a sheep. I was devastated by his new haircut, as was he.
Don’t worry Mr. O, I think you're adorable no matter what!

I tried not to go all crazyprotectivemother on J…whoops.

After the haircut disaster all was forgiven,  we finally finished up a piece of furniture that we have been working on for about eight months now. Seeing as my idea of a DIY project is hanging up artwork by myself, this was a big accomplishment. Here is a sneak peek. I can't wait to show it to you all styled up.

I am thrilled with how it turned out! The knobs are old Anthropologie (no longer available, sorry!), and I love how the gold pops on the dark grey dresser.

For dinner on Sunday, we made this pizza. It was absolutely delicious and well worth the effort. Yum.
Try it. You won't be disappointed. How was your weekend?
